    Split Airport (5 Km) and Split city (25 Km).

    Enjoy sailing in archipelago of Trogir (islands Čiovo, Drvenik Mali, Drvenik Veli, Šolta) Look more in SAILING AREA.

    Learn elementary sailing skills and safety on the sea:
    – theoretical skills of the sailing essentials, the sail aerodynamics, basic helmsman skills!
    – maximal 4-6 course attendants with one skipper-sailor have enough time for getting skills for independent sailing!

    SCHOOL DETAILS

    Sunday – Day 1

    • Arrival in base Trogir at 11:00 hour, sailing school book distribution, introducing other crew members, forming of groups and proceeding to sailing boat.
    • Getting familiar with basic terminology, demonstrating how to adjust sails and leaving marina.
    • After leaving marina, adjusting the sails on Your own and practicing holding the direction, searching for wind direction, practicing how to tack and first presentation of gybe.
    • Getting familiar with tiding up the boat and equipment
    • Arrangements for Monday, questions and conversation.

    Monday – Day 2

    • 11:00 theory, first 15min practicing knots
    • Theoretic lesson – starting with sails, problems with tacking and gibing, jib and it’s role, how to use wind indicators, apparent wind.
    • 12:00 sailing lesson
    • Sailing around marks in reach, sailing around marks beam sailing with tacking , upwind and downwind
    • 18:00 docking, tiding up the boat and equipment
    • Arrangements for tomorrow’s day

    Tuesday – Day 3

    • 11:00 theory, first 15min practicing knots
    • Theoretic lesson – “getting out of irons”, anchoring and „man overboard“!
    • 12:00 sailing lessons
    • Practicing around marks (upwind-downwind), special accent on turning the marks (using the sails and rudder), gibing in „butterfly position of sails. MOB and anchoring
    • 18:00 docking, tiding up the boat and equipment
    • Arrangements for tomorrow’s day and sailing plan to the nearest islands (according to the weather forecast)

    Wednesday – Day 4

    • 11:00 leaving a base Trogir and sailing towards next destination according to instructor’s decision and direction of wind to be able to sail independent and practicing of helmsman skills
    • 16:00 mooring and tiding up the boat and equipment, planning for tomorrow’s route

    Thursday – Day 5

    • 11:00 Theoretic lessons – lessons about Spinnaker, Gennaker sailing, basic elements
    from night sailing (navigations lights, light-houses, low visibility)
    • 12:00 leaving port and sailing towards planned destination –
    • Practicing rounding marks and manoeuvring „man overboard“ procedure
    • 18:00 anchoring at night , tiding up the boat and equipment, comments about sailing

    Friday – Day 6

    • 11:00 – Preparations for leaving the port
    • 12:00 – Leaving port and sailing without any instructor assistance to Split
    • till 16:00 h return to the base, tiding up the boat and equipment, cleaning the boat, diplomas and comments
